What is IELTS?
IELTS is an International English Language Testing System. It is an international standardized test for students who wants to study abroad as well as for the people who wants to go for permanent residency visas (PR). It is managed by IDP.
Test Format:
IELTS exam is conducted both Online (CBT) and Offline (Pen & Paper Based) candidates must choose either the ACADEMIC or the GENERAL TRAINING IELTS Test.
Academic Test
This Test is for students who plan to study in English at University (undergraduate or postgraduate level), and is designed to test the understanding and use of complex level academic language.
- Reading: 3 Passages (60 minutes)
- Listening: 4 Sections (Approx: 30-35 min)
- Writing: Report & Essay (60 minutes)
- Speaking: (10-15 minutes)
General Training:
This test is suitable for individuals requiring a more general level of English proficiency for Employment or permanent residency or Immigration purposes.
- Reading: 3 Passages (60 minutes)
- Listening: 4 Sections (Approx: 30-35 min)
- Writing: Letter & Essay (60 minutes)
- Speaking: (10-15 minutes)

What Documents do I required to complete my IELTS Registration?
You will need the following to register for the IELTS exam
- Registration fee (you can pay in your local currency)
- Valid Passport or National Identity Card. (No any other ID proof)
- Two copy colour passport size photographs.
- Country and Language code.

Can I change my date and venue once I book the test?
Yes, you can change the exam date and/or test venue once you register for the test. However, it is subject to availability and you have to apply for the change two weeks before your exam date. If it is less than 14 days or two weeks, you are not allowed to change your test date and venue. You cannot change it to a different calendar year either.

What if I want to cancel my IELTS Exam?
If you postpone or cancel your application more than 5 weeks before the test date, you will receive a refund minus an administration charge. If you postpone or cancel within 5 weeks of the test date, you will be charged the full fee unless you have a medical reason. If you provide a medical certificate within 5 days of the test date, you will receive a refund minus the local administrative cost.

How many times one can appear for IELTS?
You can appear it as many times as you want and also can book multiple dates. There is no limit.

Is there any break between the examination?
No there is no break between any module of the exam

What if any disability or medical condition then?
Yes, your disability and medical condition will be considered during the IELTS exam you have to inform to centre prior to the exam date.

Is re-checking available for IELTS Exams?
Yes, you can choose which test sections you want to be re-marked and will need to apply for the re-marking no later than six weeks after the test date.
